1st Pricing Announces Release Date
for AutoCAD Architecture 2009
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
June 29, 2009: Signal Hill, Calif.
– 1st Pricing, a Southern California-based eCommerce and
Technology Company, has announced that they will release a
plug-in that links their patented revolutionary Building
Information Modeling (BIM) technology to Autocad® Architecture
2009 on July 23rd. Like the 2008 compatible version released
earlier this month, the plug-in nearly doubles the number of
available windows for use in the CAD program. This is the first
technology to simplify BIM - one that removes extra steps rather
that adding steps as all other technologies seem to do. Also,
1st Pricing has created a standardized platform that can
integrate directly with any object oriented CAD program. You
will be able to download the new plug-in at
www.1stPricing.com.
“We have had a tremendous response
to our 2008 plug-in and many requests for a version that is
compatible with 2009 and 2010. On July 23rd, the new 2009
version will be available for download. Like other 1st Pricing
plug-ins, it will be free to download and free to use” said
Douglas Lopez, Founder of 1st Pricing and a general contractor.
“By providing a library of real-world products and proper
terminology, the architect’s intentions become crystal clear.
They can provide their customer with information about which
brands are available in a given zip code. 1st Pricing can allow
a manufacturer can get specified on these plans plus we can
identify “green” building materials to encourage sustainable
building practices. It is a search engine specifically designed
for your drawing in your CAD program.”
With the click of a button, the
1st Pricing technology accesses multiple databases through an
internet portal and can pull which brands that are available in
the region plus, Green information, Energy ratings, RFID or
provide comparison pricing of multiple brands to fill out a
detailed bill of materials with all related content on demand.
At the same time, an online shopping cart is created for easy
fulfillment from a local material distributor based on the
project zip code. Changes and updates are made within seconds so
that everyone is on the same page. Today, the Company is focused
on building materials for residential construction but plans to
add commercial building products in the future. In the CAD
industry, the supply chain component is often referred to as the
“fifth dimension of CAD” or 5D.
“Our goal is to provide useful
tools to simplify the BIM process in an industry that has not
enjoyed much productivity over the years. In my experience as a
general contractor and building material supplier, mistakes are
made when information is recreated from the plans over and over
and over” adds Lopez. “We simply identify multiple brand
solutions from local suppliers to precise architectural
specifications that can be easily shared with everyone in the
downstream process. We are also empowering the homeowner and
their contractor with a number of fulfillment choices complete
with delivered-to-the-jobsite pricing.”
