Here’s how it works: The architect or designer draws plans using
“smart” symbols – smart symbols are attached to a data warehouse
that stores the physical parameters or attributes of each symbol
as specified by the architect. Sometimes the software companies
provide these symbols and sometimes 1ST Pricing provides them.
Regardless, we then run with that database to provide real-time
comparative pricing for many line items. Essentially, we create a
bill of materials including delivered-to-the-jobsite pricing for
